Ingredients for Kid’s Burger & Fries

Method

Directions for Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Cut the potatoes into thin strips and place them in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Bake the Fries

Spread the potato strips onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  3. 3

    Make the Burger Patties

While the fries are baking, divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook the Burger Patties

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, slices of tomato, and ketchup. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the burgers hot with a side of crispy fries.
