Water Base

Light Natural Flavor

Method

Prepare Base

  1. 1

    Combine waters

In a large pitcher (at least 1 liter capacity), pour 4 cups filtered water and 1 cup unsweetened coconut water. Stir gently to combine.

Add Electrolytes & Minerals

  1. 2

    Dissolve salts and minerals

Add 1 tsp fine sea salt, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp magnesium citrate powder to the pitcher. Stir vigorously for 30–60 seconds until all powders are fully dissolved. Taste briefly to confirm minerality is mild and balanced.

Flavoring

  1. 3

    Citrus and cucumber

Add 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice and 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice to the mixture. Drop in 4 thin cucumber slices. If using mint, bruise 6 mint leaves by clapping them between your hands and add to the pitcher. Stir gently to distribute flavor.

  2. 4

    Optional sweetening

If you prefer a touch of sweetness, add up to 1 tsp liquid stevia or 1 tsp honey and stir until incorporated. Honey may require slightly warmer water to dissolve fully; if using, dissolve it in 2 tablespoons of warm filtered water before adding to the pitcher.

Chill and Serve

  1. 5

Add 1 cup of ice to the pitcher or pour the smart water into glasses over ice. Allow to chill for at least 10 minutes in the refrigerator or serve immediately over ice for instant refreshment. For best flavor, let it sit covered in the fridge for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

  2. 6

Before serving, taste and adjust: add a pinch more sea salt if you need more sodium, a squeeze of lemon/lime for brightness, or a small extra splash of coconut water for sweetness and potassium.
