Discover a brew that not only quenches your thirst but also invigorates your senses.

Boil 4 cups of water and add dried hibiscus flowers. Simmer for 10 minutes, then strain the liquid into a separate container.

Prepare Hibiscus Tea

Add 1 cup of sugar to the hot hibiscus tea and stir until fully dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature.

Sweeten the Tea

Once the tea has cooled, add 0.5 cup of lemon juice and the yeast. Mix well and transfer to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Seal with an airlock.

Fermentation Process

Allow the mixture to ferment in a dark, cool place for 1-2 weeks, or until bubbling stops.

Primary Fermentation

In a saucepan, boil 2 cups of water and dissolve 0.5 cup of corn sugar to create a priming solution. Allow to cool.

Prepare for Bottling

Once primary fermentation is complete, gently mix the priming solution with the fermented hibiscus mixture. Bottle the beer in sanitized bottles and cap them.

Bottling the Saison

Let the bottles carbonate at room temperature for about 1-2 weeks before refrigerating.

Carbonation

Chill the bottles in the refrigerator, then pour into a glass and enjoy your homemade Hibiscus Saison!
