Method
Build & Shake
Combine base ingredients
Add 2 oz Lyre's American Malt, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Optional bitters
If using, add 1 dash Angostura and 1 dash orange bitters to the shaker for extra aromatic depth.
Shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds to chill and properly dilute the mixture.
Finish & Serve
Place a large ice cube into a highball or Collins glass (or fill with fresh large cubes). Strain the shaken mixture over the ice.
Top with about 3 oz ice-cold Fentimans Ginger Beer. Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to integrate — avoid over-stirring to preserve carbonation.
Garnish with a lemon wheel on the rim and a piece of candied ginger or a thin slice of fresh ginger on a pick if desired.
Serve immediately with a short straw. Optionally, present one extra dash of bitters over the top (spritz) for aroma just before serving.
