Dough Ingredients

Method

Dough Preparation

1

Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.

3

Combine Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.

4

Knead Dough

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

5

First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

6

Shape Pies

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

7

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to the highest setting (usually around 475°F or 245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.

8

Prepare Pizzas

Flatten each dough ball into a 12-inch circle and top with your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings.

9

Bake

Transfer the pizza to the preheated stone or baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

10

Serve

Remove from the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and enjoy!
