Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Brisket

Rinse the corned beef brisket under cold water to remove excess salt.

2

Cook the Meat

In a large pot, place the rinsed corned beef brisket and cover it with 10 cups of water. Add the pickling spice to the pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

3

Simmer

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender.

4

Add Vegetables

Add the carrots, potatoes, and onion to the pot. Continue to simmer for an additional 30 minutes.

5

Finish with Cabbage

Finally, add the cabbage wedges and cook for another 15-20 minutes until the cabbage is tender.

6

Serve

Remove the brisket from the pot and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice against the grain and serve with the cooked vegetables.
