Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Chop the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery into small pieces. Set aside.

2

Cook the Vegetables

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

3

Brown the Meat

Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 8 minutes.

4

Add Tomatoes and Wine

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine. Mix well.

5

Season the Sauce

Add the dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and reduce the heat to low.

6

Simmer the Sauce

Cover and let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. The longer it simmers, the better the flavor.

7

Cook the Spaghetti

While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

8

Combine and Serve

Toss the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce until well coated. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
