Method
Preparation of Dip
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Start by gathering all of your ingredients. Make sure the smoked fish is deboned and flaked into small pieces.
- 2
Mix the Base
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Blend them together until smooth and creamy using a hand mixer or a fork.
- 3
Add the Fish
Gently fold in the flaked smoked fish into the cream cheese and sour cream mixture until well combined.
- 4
Season the Dip
Add the fresh lemon juice, dried dill weed, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir until everything is evenly distributed.
- 5
Chill the Dip
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve the Dip
- 6
Prepare the Accompaniments
While the dip is chilling, slice the cucumber into rounds and arrange on a serving platter. Open the box of assorted crackers and place them on the platter as well.
- 7
Serve
Once the dip has chilled, take it out of the refrigerator and serve it in a bowl alongside the cucumber slices and assorted crackers.
