Prepare the Fruit
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches and blackberries. Add the granulated sugar, flour, ground cinnamon, and lemon juice to the fruit. Gently toss the ingredients together until the fruit is evenly coated. Set aside to let the flavors meld while you prepare the topping.

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir in the milk until the batter is smooth, then fold in the melted butter until evenly combined.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the fruit mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spoon the batter over the fruit evenly, making sure to cover as much of the fruit as possible. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
