Method

Kansas City Strip

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the Kansas City Strip steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub each steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over high heat. Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let rest.

Crab Cake

  1. 4

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid breaking the crab meat.

  2. 5

    Shape the Crab Cakes

Form the mixture into patties about 1 inch thick. Place on a baking sheet and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 6

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In a skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Cook the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and heated through.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Place the cubed potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Fresh Vegetables

  1. 9

    Prepare the Vegetables

Trim the asparagus (or chosen vegetables) and toss them with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 10

    Cook the Vegetables

Sauté the vegetables in a skillet over medium heat until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
