Method

For the Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Salmon

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the marinated salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

For the Mashed Potatoes

  1. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cubed potatoes and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until tender. Drain the potatoes.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Return the drained potatoes to the pot. Add butter, milk, and season with salt and black pepper. Use a potato masher or fork to mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed.

For the Fresh Vegetables

  1. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add broccoli florets and sliced carrots. Season with salt.

  2. 7

    Sauté the Vegetables

Cook the vegetables for 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender but still crisp. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
