1

Prepare apples

Wash the green apples thoroughly under cold running water to remove wax and dirt. Pat dry. Core the apples and cut into quarters. If using a high-speed blender, you may leave the skin on; if you prefer a smoother juice, peel the apples before cutting.

2

Blend

Place the apple quarters into the blender. Add 1 cup cold water and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. Blend on high for 45–60 seconds, or until the mixture is very smooth and no large chunks remain.

3

Sweeten (optional)

Taste the blended apple. If you prefer a sweeter juice, add up to 1 teaspoon granulated sugar or honey and blend for another 5–10 seconds to incorporate. The lemon balances the sweetness and preserves color, so add sweetener sparingly.

4

Strain (optional for clearer juice)

For a clear, pulp-free juice: place a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended apple mixture through the sieve, pressing with a spoon or spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard leftover pulp or reserve for smoothies/compost. If you prefer a pulpy, full-bodied juice, skip this step.

5

Chill and serve

Fill two glasses with ice cubes. Pour the strained or unstrained apple juice over the ice. Garnish each glass with three fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately for best flavor and brightness.

6

Storage

If not serving right away, pour the juice into an airtight container and refrigerate. Consume within 24–36 hours for best freshness; shake or stir before serving as separation may occur.
