This lager is expertly crafted for those who appreciate a smooth finish and a light body, making it the ideal companion for any occasion. Raise your glass and savor the vibrant flavor that captures the spirit of a lively gathering.

In a large pot, heat 5 liters of water to 165°F (74°C). Add the pale malt and crystal malt, stirring gently. Maintain the temperature at around 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, remove the grains and bring the liquid (wort) to a boil. Once boiling, add the Cascade hops and boil for 60 minutes. Add the Centennial hops in the last 15 minutes of the boil.

Boiling

After boiling, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches around 70°F (21°C).

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Sprinkle the yeast on top and seal with an airlock. Ferment for 1-2 weeks at room temperature.

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of water and add it to the beer. Bottle the beer using sanitized bottles and caps.

Bottling

Allow the bottles to carbonate at room temperature for 1-2 weeks. Then, chill and enjoy your Big Lick Lager!
