Method

Marinade Preparation

1

Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.

2

Marinate the Chicken

Place the boneless chicken thighs in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.

Cooking the Chicken

3

Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

4

Cook the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill or cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Serving Preparation

5

Prepare the Rice

While the chicken is cooking, prepare the cooked white rice according to package instructions.

6

Chop the Green Onions

Thinly slice the green onions and set aside for garnish.

7

Plate the Dish

Once the chicken is cooked, slice it into strips. Serve it over a bed of cooked rice, garnished with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro.

Optional Toppings

8

Add Optional Toppings

If desired, top with sliced fresh pineapple, chopped macadamia nuts, and a drizzle of Sriracha sauce to taste.
