Base Smoothie

Optional Protein / Texture Add-ins

Method

Base Smoothie

1

Prepare ingredients

Measure and gather almond milk, Greek yogurt, frozen mixed berries, peeled banana, and spinach. If using frozen banana instead of fresh, reduce or omit ice later.

2

Add the almond milk and Greek yogurt to the blender first to help with blending and to prevent dry ingredients from sticking to the bottom.

3

Add the frozen mixed berries, banana, and spinach on top of the liquids.

Boosters & Flavor

4

Add rolled oats and ground flaxseed to the blender for fiber and omega-3 boost.

5

Add honey or maple syrup only if you prefer a sweeter smoothie. Add fresh lemon juice and vanilla extract to brighten and round flavors.

Optional Protein / Texture Add-ins

6

If using protein powder, add the scoop now so it blends evenly. If you like a colder, thicker texture, add ice cubes (or use a frozen banana instead).

7

Secure the blender lid and blend on high for 45–60 seconds, or until completely smooth. Pause to scrape down the sides with a spatula and blend another 10–15 seconds if needed.

8

Taste and adjust: if too thick, add 2–4 tablespoons (30–60 ml) more almond milk; if not sweet enough, add another 1/2 teaspoon honey or maple syrup and blend briefly.

9

Pour into a glass and, if desired, garnish with a sprinkle of ground flaxseed or a few whole berries. Serve immediately.
