SPANISH OIL DIP

In a large brewing pot, heat 3 liters of water to 160°F (70°C). Add the Pilsner malt and flaked corn, stirring to combine. Maintain the temperature for 60 minutes while stirring occasionally.

Mashing the Grains

After mashing, drain the liquid (wort) into a separate pot. Rinse the grains with an additional 3 liters of hot water (around 170°F or 77°C) to extract more sugars.

Sparging

Bring the collected wort to a boil. Add the noble hops and boil for 60 minutes. Add the lime zest and sea salt during the last 5 minutes of the boil.

Boiling the Wort

After boiling, cool the wort quickly to around 70°F (21°C) using a wort chiller or an ice bath.

Cooling the Wort

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Pitch the yeast according to the package instructions. Seal the vessel and let it ferment at around 55-65°F (13-18°C) for 1-2 weeks.

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, siphon the beer into sanitized bottles, leaving about an inch of headspace. Cap the bottles and let them carbonate at room temperature for another week.

Bottling

Fill a glass with ice and garnish with fresh lime wedges.

Preparing the Glass

Carefully pour the freshly brewed Maracas Beach Lager into the glass over the ice and garnish. Enjoy your refreshing crisp lager!
