Cooking Instructions
Marinate the Beef
In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1/4 cup of soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the beef evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce
In a separate bowl, mix the remaining soy sauce (1/2 cup), beef broth, and sesame oil. Set aside for later use.
Cook the Beef
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Broccoli
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
Combine and Finish the Dish
Return the beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the prepared sauce over the mixture. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve
Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles, if desired.
