Prepare the Cake Base

Crush the Oreos

In a food processor, crush 24 Oreo cookies until they are fine crumbs.

In a small saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat.

Combine the crushed Oreos with the melted butter and mix well. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the cake base.

Fold in 12 crushed Oreo cookies into the mousse mixture.
