Prepare the Cake Base

1. Crush the Oreos

In a food processor, crush 24 Oreo cookies until they are fine crumbs.

2. Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat.

3. Combine and Press

Combine the crushed Oreos with the melted butter and mix well. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the cake base.

Make the Mousse Filling

4. Beat the Cream

In a large bowl, beat 2 cups of heavy cream until soft peaks form.

5. Mix Cream Cheese

In another bowl, beat 8 oz of cream cheese, 1 cup of powdered sugar, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

6. Fold in the Whipped Cream

Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.

7. Add Crushed Oreos

Fold in 12 crushed Oreo cookies into the mousse mixture.

Assemble the Cake

8. Layer the Mousse

Pour the mousse filling over the Oreo crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.

9. Chill

Cover and refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or until set.

Prepare the Topping

10. Whip the Cream

In a bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

11. Decorate

Spread the whipped cream over the set mousse layer. Garnish with 4 Oreo cookies and chocolate shavings.

Serve

12. Release and Slice

Release the cake from the springform pan, slice, and serve chilled.
