Main Ingredients

Seasoning and Cooking

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Sprinkle both sides of the sirloin steak with salt and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your preferred doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Cooking the Eggs and Hash Browns

  1. 3

    Cook the Hash Browns

In the same skillet used for the steak, add another tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the hash browns and spread them out evenly. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until crispy and golden brown, stirring occasionally.

  2. 4

    Fry the Eggs

In a separate small frying pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your desired doneness, about 2-3 minutes for sunny-side up or longer if you prefer them over easy.

Toasting the Bread

  1. 5

    Toast the Bread

While the eggs are cooking, toast the slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Slice the rested steak and place it on a plate alongside the crispy hash browns. Add the fried eggs on top or beside the steak, and serve the toast on the side. Enjoy your steak and eggs!
