Method

Preparation of Meat

  1. 1

    Cook the beef

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 6-8 minutes until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.

  2. 2

    Prepare the chicken

If using raw chicken, cook it in a separate skillet with a little olive oil over medium heat until fully cooked, about 10-12 minutes. Shred the chicken using two forks.

Assembling Nachos

  1. 3

    Layer the tortilla chips

On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread out the tortilla chips evenly to create a base.

  2. 4

    Add the meat

Distribute the cooked ground beef and shredded chicken evenly over the tortilla chips.

  3. 5

    Melt the cheese

Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over the chips and meat. Pour the nacho cheese sauce over the top. Ensure there is a good coverage of cheese.

  4. 6

    Bake the nachos

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the assembled nachos for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Finishing Touches

  1. 7

    Add toppings

Carefully remove the nachos from the oven. Top with sliced jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, chopped green onions, and salsa as desired.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve hot and enjoy your delicious nachos with your choice of toppings!
