Fry Bread Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

Add Water
Gradually add the water to the dry mixture, stirring until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.

Shape and Fry
Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a flat circle about 6 inches in diameter. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry each piece of dough until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.

Cook the Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or chicken until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Assemble the Taco
On each piece of fry bread, layer a portion of the cooked meat followed by a slice of American cheese, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions.

Serve the mini Indian tacos with salsa and sour cream on the side for dipping.
