Method

Onion Rings Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice the Onions

Peel and slice the large onions into thick rings, about 1/2 inch thick. Separate the rings and set them aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well to combine. Gradually add the ice-cold water until the batter is smooth and thick.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Coat the Onion Rings

Dip each onion ring into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated. Allow any excess batter to drip off.

  5. 5

    Fry the Onion Rings

Carefully place the battered onion rings into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Signature Dip Preparation

  1. 6

    Mix the Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, honey, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 7

    Chill the Dip

Cover and refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Ranch Dressing Preparation

  1. 8

    Combine the Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, mayonnaise, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.

  2. 9

    Refrigerate the Dressing

Cover and refrigerate the ranch dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.
