Method

Preparing the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Beef

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef with the Special Halftime Herb blend. Use your hands to gently mix until the herbs are evenly distributed throughout the beef.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill, make sure to lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of pepper-jack cheese on top of each. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 5

    Slice the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the onion into thin rings, the tomato into even slices, and prepare the lettuce, pickles, and any other desired toppings.

  2. 6

    Toast the Kaiser Rolls

If desired, lightly toast the Kaiser rolls on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Build the Burger

Start with the bottom half of the toasted Kaiser roll. Place a cooked patty with melted cheese on top, followed by layers of onion rings, pickles, lettuce, and tomato. Finish with the top half of the Kaiser roll.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the Halftime Burgers immediately while hot, with your choice of sides.
