Method
For the Buffalo Wings
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Coat the Wings
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder. Add the chicken wings to the mixture and toss until they are evenly coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 5
Make the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce and stir well to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for a couple of minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 6
Coat the Wings in Buffalo Sauce
Place the fried wings in a large bowl and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss the wings until they are fully coated in the sauce.
For the Blue Cheese Dressing
- 7
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley.
- 8
Mix Until Smooth
Using a fork or a whisk, mix the ingredients together until the dressing is smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 9
Refrigerate
Cover the dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
