Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Cut the local tender steak into bite-sized chunks, approximately 1 inch in size. Season the chunks with salt and black pepper, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

Prepare a breading station with three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Breading and Frying

  1. 3

    Bread the Steak Chunks

Take each steak chunk, dredge it in the flour, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the seasoned breadcrumbs. Ensure each piece is well coated.

  2. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 5

    Fry the Steak Bites

Carefully place the breaded steak chunks into the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry until they are golden brown and cooked to your desired temperature, about 3-5 minutes per batch.

  4. 6

    Drain and Serve

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried steak bites and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
