Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Calamari

In a shallow bowl, add the flour. In another bowl, add the beaten egg. In a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs. Dredge each calamari slice first in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

2

Fry the Calamari

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded calamari in batches and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

3

Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic, bell peppers, pepperoncini, and capers. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

4

Combine and Serve

Add the fried calamari back to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Pour in the lemon juice and toss to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot, topped with crumbled feta cheese.
