Finishing & Serving
Method
Base Electrolyte Drink (makes about 1 liter)
Heat and dissolve
Pour 300 ml of the water into a small saucepan and warm over medium heat (do not boil). Add the granulated sugar and stir until fully dissolved, about 2β3 minutes. This ensures a smooth syrup so the sugar wonβt grain in cold water.
Add remaining water
Add the remaining 600 ml of cold water to the pitcher and stir until the mixture is uniform. Taste for salinity and sweetness and adjust slightly if desired (see notes).
Flavor & Color (Cool Blue style)
Incorporate flavor
While the base is still slightly warm, add the blue sports drink flavoring or powdered blue raspberry mix and stir until fully dissolved. Add the fresh lemon juice and optional natural fruit extract for depth. Stir and let the drink cool to room temperature.
Adjust color and flavor
If the color is too light, add small pinch(s) more blue powder or a drop more concentrate. If sweetness or saltiness needs adjustment, add up to 5 g more sugar or a pinch more salt, mixing thoroughly and re-tasting.
Finishing & Serving
Storage: Store refrigerated in a sealed container for up to 5 days. Shake gently before using.
