Classic Martini

Negroni

Moscow Mule

Method

Classic Martini

1

Chill glass

Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer or fill with ice water to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Add gin, dry vermouth and lots of ice to a mixing glass. Stir briskly for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

3

Strain into the chilled glass. Express a lemon twist over the surface or drop in a green olive as garnish.

Old Fashioned

4

In a rocks glass, combine simple syrup (or muddle a sugar cube with the bitters and a splash of water). Add two dashes of Angostura bitters.

5

Add the whiskey and one large ice cube. Stir gently for 20–30 seconds to chill and dilute.

6

Express the orange peel over the drink, rub the peel rim, and drop it in as garnish.

Margarita

7

If salting the rim, rub a lime wedge around the glass rim and dip into coarse salt. Fill a shaker with ice.

8

Add tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave syrup (if using) to the shaker. Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled.

9

Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice or a chilled coupe if serving straight up. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Negroni

10

Fill a mixing glass or rocks glass with ice. Add gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth.

11

Stir for about 20–30 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass if mixing separately.

12

Garnish with an expressed orange twist.

Moscow Mule

13

Fill a copper mug or highball glass with ice. Add vodka and fresh lime juice.

14

Top with ginger beer and gently stir once to combine. Adjust ginger beer to taste for more or less spice.

15

Garnish with a lime wedge and optional mint sprig.

Whiskey Sour

16

If using egg white for a frothier texture: add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a shaker and dry shake (no ice) vigorously for 15 seconds to emulsify.

17

Add ice and shake again vigorously for 10–15 seconds until chilled. If not using egg white, combine bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ice in the shaker and shake.

18

Double strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Add a couple dashes of Angostura bitters on the foam (if using egg white) and garnish with a lemon wheel or cherry.

Aperol Spritz

19

Fill a wine glass generously with ice. Pour in Aperol, then Prosecco, and top with a splash of soda water.

20

Gently stir once to combine so the drink remains fizzy. Garnish with an orange slice.

Espresso Martini

21

Chill a coupe or martini glass. Add freshly brewed espresso (cooled slightly), vodka, coffee liqueur, simple syrup (if using), and ice to a shaker.

22

Shake very vigorously for 15–25 seconds to create a foamy crema from the espresso. Fine strain into the chilled glass.

23

Garnish with three coffee beans on the foam.
