Preparation

Preparation

1. Muddle the Mint

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and simple syrup. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down on the mint leaves to release their oils. Be careful not to tear the leaves too much.

2. Add Lime Juice

Pour the fresh lime juice into the glass with the muddled mint and simple syrup. Stir gently to combine.

3. Add Rum

Add the white rum to the mixture and stir gently to ensure all ingredients are well combined.

4. Add Soda Water

Top off the drink with soda water. Pour it slowly to maintain the fizz.

5. Garnish

Garnish with a lime wedge and additional mint leaves. Optionally, you can gently slap the mint leaves between your hands before adding them to release even more aroma.

Serving

6. Serve

Serve the Mojito immediately in the glass, preferably with a straw. Enjoy your refreshing cocktail!
