In a large pot, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the pot.

Add Potatoes and Flour
Stir in the diced potatoes and flour, coating the vegetables. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.

Add Liquids
Pour in the clam juice and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes until the potatoes are tender.

Add Clams and Cream
Stir in the chopped clams, heavy cream, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes until everything is heated through.
