Huss Brewing Co. ''koffee' Kolsch Recipe

1. Chill can (if not already chilled)

Ensure the 12 oz HUSS Brewing Co. 'Koffee' Kölsch is well chilled (38–45°F / 3–7°C). If not chilled, place the can in ice for 10–15 minutes or in a refrigerator for several hours.

2. Prepare glass

If serving in a glass, chill the glass briefly by placing it in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or filling with ice water for 2–3 minutes, then drain. A chilled pilsner or schooner highlights the Kölsch's crisp profile.

3. Open and pour

Open the 12 oz can using a can tab or opener. Hold the glass at a 45° angle and pour the beer gently down the side until the glass is about three-quarters full, then straighten the glass and finish the pour to create a modest head (~1/2 inch). Pouring gently preserves carbonation and showcases clarity.

4. Add lemon wheel (optional)

If desired, lightly squeeze the lemon wheel over the beer to release a small amount of juice, then drop it onto the rim or into the beer. This adds a bright citrus accent that complements the Kölsch's delicate malt profile.

5. Aromatic coffee bean (optional)

For a playful nod to the 'Koffee' name, place one whole coffee bean on the glass rim or float it gently on the beer to provide a brief coffee aroma as you sip.

6. Serve immediately and enjoy. Recommend serving temperature: 38–45°F (3–7°C).
