Cocktail
Chill glass (optional)
Place a tall pint glass or beer glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill with ice and cold water for 2 minutes, then dump the water. A chilled glass keeps the beer colder longer.
Add 4 ice cubes to the chilled glass. Using ice is optional — many prefer this drink without ice to preserve carbonation, but ice helps keep the whiskey cold and slightly dilutes the combined drink.
Strain the chilled whiskey into the prepared pint glass over the ice (if you pre-chilled in a mixing glass).
Open a 12 oz Bud Light and slowly pour it down the side of the glass so it layers gently with the whiskey and preserves as much carbonation as possible. Pouring slowly reduces foaming.
If you prefer a slightly sweeter, smoother mouthfeel, stir gently once with a bar spoon or long spoon to combine the beer and whiskey. Do not over-stir — just 2–3 slow turns.
Garnish & Serve
Garnish with a lime or lemon wedge on the rim if desired. Squeeze a little into the drink only if you like a citrus lift.
Serve immediately while the beer is still carbonated. Sip carefully — the combination is stronger than beer alone.
