Cocktail
Method
Prep
Prepare the glass
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled rocks or coupe glass. Spread the coarse salt on a small plate and dip the moistened rim into the salt to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.
Juice the lime
Roll a fresh lime on the counter with your palm to loosen juices, then cut and squeeze to yield about 1 ounce (one medium lime). Strain if desired to remove pulp and seeds.
Shake and serve
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker add 2 oz Casamigos Blanco Tequila, 1 oz Cointreau, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste).
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup of cubed ice). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
Double-strain
Using a Hawthorne or fine mesh strainer, strain the cocktail into the prepared salt-rimmed glass over fresh ice if serving on the rocks, or strain neat into the chilled glass for a coupe presentation.
Garnish and finish
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
