Cocktail

Method

Prepare

1

If you prefer a lightly toasted coconut aroma, place coconut flakes in a dry skillet over medium heat and toast for 1–2 minutes, stirring, until golden. Remove and cool.

Mixing

2

Combine ingredients

Add the white rum, light coconut cream, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and coconut water into a cocktail shaker or blender.

3

Add ice

Add the crushed ice to the shaker (or blender). If using a blender, fill to roughly the same level but do not overfill—leave room for blending.

4

Shake or blend

If using a shaker: shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy. If using a blender: blend on high for 3–6 seconds until smooth and slightly slushy.

5

Taste and adjust

Taste the cocktail. If you want it sweeter, add additional 0.25 oz simple syrup and stir or pulse again briefly. If too thick, add up to 0.5 oz additional coconut water and gently mix.

Serve

6

Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or a rocks glass filled with fresh crushed ice (for a slushy/cold presentation, pour directly if blended).

7

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim, a sprinkle of toasted coconut flakes across the top (optional), and a mint sprig if desired.

8

Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail pick.
