Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough comes together. Avoid overworking the dough.

Chill the Dough
Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the Tomatoes
Slice the heirloom tomatoes and sprinkle them with salt. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to release some moisture.

Layer the Filling
Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the pie crust. Layer the sliced heirloom tomatoes on top, followed by the white cheddar cheese and chopped fresh basil. Season with black pepper.
Buttermilk Dressing

Mix the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together buttermilk, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
Mixed Greens

Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently to coat the greens.
Assembly and Baking

Bake the Pie
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the pie for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with the mixed greens and buttermilk dressing drizzled on top.
