Southern Green Beans

Method

Chicken and Peaches

  1. 1

    Season Chicken

Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the Statler chicken breasts.

  2. 2

    Pan-Sear Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

  3. 3

    Caramelize Peaches

In the same skillet, add sliced peaches and maple syrup. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until peaches are soft and slightly caramelized. Add butter and stir until melted.

  4. 4

    Combine Chicken and Peaches

Return the chicken to the skillet with the caramelized peaches and spoon the maple butter sauce over the top. Keep warm until ready to serve.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Cook Potatoes

In a large pot, add cubed potatoes and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain the potatoes.

  2. 6

    Mash Potatoes

Return the drained potatoes to the pot. Add milk, butter, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Southern Green Beans

  1. 7

    Prepare Green Beans

If using fresh green beans, trim the ends. If using frozen, simply measure the amount needed.

  2. 8

    Sauté Green Beans

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add green beans and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
