Method

Simple Syrup Preparation

  1. 1

Make the Arbol Chile Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 2 pieces of arbol chiles. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Once dissolved, lower the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes to infuse the flavors. Remove from heat and let it cool completely. Strain the syrup to remove the chiles and set aside.

Cocktail Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Jala-Pepino

In a cocktail shaker, muddle 0.5 medium cucumber (sliced) and 1 whole jalapeño pepper (sliced) to release their juices. Add 2 oz of Patron Blanco tequila and 1 oz of the prepared arbol chile simple syrup. Squeeze the juice of 1 whole lime into the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.

  2. 3

    Serve the Cocktail

Strain the mixture into a chilled glass filled with ice. Optionally, garnish with a cucumber slice and a jalapeño slice for an added touch. Enjoy your refreshing Jala-Pepino cocktail!
