Cocktail

Method

Prep

1

Chill glass

Place a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill with ice and set aside to chill while preparing the cocktail.

2

Muddle mint (light)

In a mixing tin or shaker, place 4 fresh mint leaves. Gently slap between your palms to release aromatics, then lightly muddle once or twice — avoid shredding so the drink doesn't go bitter.

Build & Shake

3

Add 2 oz Ketel One Vodka, 1 oz peach schnapps, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz hibiscus syrup, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (if using) into the shaker with the muddled mint.

4

Fill the shaker with ice, cap, and shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

Finish & Serve

5

Remove the chilled glass or dump the chilling ice. Fill the glass with crushed ice or fresh ice cubes (about 1 cup).

6

Double-strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the ice to keep mint bits out (use a Hawthorne strainer and fine mesh if available).

7

Top gently with 1 oz cold filtered water or soda water to lengthen and create a subtle lift, then give the drink one short stir (1–2 rotations) to combine.

8

Garnish with the remaining 2 mint leaves (slap first to release aroma) tucked near the rim, a lime wheel on the rim, and optionally float a dried or candied hibiscus petal on top for color.

9

Serve immediately with a straw or without, and advise the drinker to lightly muddle the mint into the drink with their straw if they want more mint flavor as they sip.
