For the cocktail

Method

Prepare & build

1

Chill glass

If desired, place a copper mug or highball glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes beforehand to get it nicely chilled.

2

Add ice

Fill the chilled mug or glass with ice until nearly full (about 1 cup).

3

Combine base ingredients

In the prepared glass over ice, pour 2 oz Kettle One vodka, 0.5 oz freshly squeezed lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup. Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to combine and slightly chill the mixture.

4

Top with soda

Carefully top the cocktail with about 2.5 oz ginger-lime soda (or to taste), pouring slowly so you retain some carbonation. Give one gentle stir β€” 1 turn with the spoon β€” to integrate the soda without flattening it.

Finish & serve

5

Garnish

Express a lime wheel or wedge over the drink (squeeze briefly to release oils), then drop it into the glass. Add a mint sprig if using and lightly slap it between your palms before placing it to release aroma.

6

Serve

Serve immediately while cold and bubbly. Provide a straw if desired.
