Preparation
Make the Egg Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar until thick and pale. This should take about 5 minutes.
Incorporate Mascarpone
Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until fully combined and smooth.
Add Rum and Eggnog
Stir in the rum and eggnog until well incorporated.
Layering the Tiramisu
Prepare the Ladyfingers
Dip each ladyfinger into a mixture of half rum and half eggnog for about 2-3 seconds. Do not soak.
Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, place a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Finishing Touches
Chill
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Dust and Serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and a sprinkle of nutmeg for garnish.
