Flavor & Sweetness

Method

Prepare Juices

1

Extract and measure

If using whole fruit, juice fresh oranges, apples and carrots using a juicer. Measure out 1 cup orange juice, 1 cup apple juice and 1/2 cup carrot juice. If using store-bought cold-pressed juices, ensure they are unsweetened and chilled.

2

Strain juices through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother bottle juice with less pulp.

Mix Base & Flavor

3

In a large mixing pitcher, combine 2 cups cold filtered water, the measured orange, apple and carrot juices, and 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice.

4

Add 1 tablespoon honey or agave and 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger to the pitcher. Stir vigorously until the honey/agave is fully dissolved.

5

Add a 1/4 teaspoon pinch of sea salt to enhance flavor and stir to incorporate.

Optional Boosts

6

If using chia seeds, stir them into the juice now and let the mixture sit 5–10 minutes so seeds swell slightly. Stir once more before bottling.

7

If using torn fresh mint leaves, lightly bruise them between your fingers and add to the juice for 5 minutes to release aroma; remove before bottling if you prefer no leaf fragments.

8

If you want a sparkling finish, chill the mixed juice and add 1/2 cup sparkling water to the bottle just before serving to preserve bubbles.

Bottle & Chill

9

Pour the mixed juice into a clean 16 oz (500 ml) glass bottle or divide between two 8 oz bottles. Leave about 1/2 inch headspace if you added sparkling water later.

10

Seal the bottle(s) tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill and let flavors meld. If you added chia seeds, refrigerate at least 15 minutes to allow final swelling.

11

Serve over ice if desired. If using sparkling water, add it to the bottle or glass immediately before serving and gently invert once to combine.

Storage

12

Keep sealed in the refrigerator up to 48 hours for best freshness. Shake gently before pouring, especially if chia seeds or pulp have settled.
