Method

Prepare Almond Cream

1

Mix Almond Cream Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Using an electric mixer, whip the mixture on medium speed until it achieves a smooth and creamy consistency.

Prepare Coffee Mixture

2

Make Coffee Mixture

In a shallow dish, combine the brewed espresso or strong coffee with the coffee liqueur (if using). Stir well to combine and set aside to cool.

Assemble Tiramisu

3

Layer the Ingredients

Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the coffee mixture, ensuring they soak just enough to soften but not become soggy. Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of a 9x9 inch serving dish.

4

Add Almond Cream

Spoon half of the almond cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

5

Repeat Layers

Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers, dipping them in the coffee mixture and layering them on top of the almond cream. Finish with the remaining almond cream mixture.

Chill and Serve

6

Chill the Tiramisu

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the tiramisu to set.

7

Prepare for Serving

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder and sprinkle with sliced almonds for decoration.
