Salmon Fillets

Method

Prepare Garlic Herb Butter

1

Make the butter

In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped dill, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined. Set aside at room temperature.

Cook the Salmon

2

Prep salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Brush both sides with olive oil and season evenly with salt and black pepper.

3

Sear salmon

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down into the hot skillet. Press gently with a spatula to ensure even contact with the pan. Cook for 5-6 minutes without moving, until the skin is crispy and the salmon is cooked about two-thirds of the way up.

4

Flip and finish

Carefully flip the salmon fillets and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

5

Add lemon rounds

During the last minute of cooking, add the lemon rounds to the pan to sear slightly and release their aroma.

6

Serve

Remove the salmon from the skillet and plate each fillet. Top with a spoonful of the garlic herb butter and a seared lemon round. Serve immediately.
