Method
Cocktail
Chill glass
If desired, chill a hurricane or highball glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes while you prepare the drink.
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker or blender, add the white rum (2 oz), coconut cream (1 oz), and pineapple juice (3 oz).
Add ice
If using a shaker: add 4 whole ice cubes. If making a frozen-style Pina Colada in a blender: add the 1.5 cups crushed ice to the blender with the liquid ingredients.
Sweetness check (optional)
Taste a small sample (or pulse a small amount in the blender). If the pineapple juice and coconut cream are not sweet enough for your preference, add 0.25 oz simple syrup and mix again.
Finish & garnish
Garnish with a pineapple slice and a cherry on a pick. Optionally squeeze the half lime wedge over the top for a touch of acidity and drop the wedge into the glass.
Serving
Serve immediately with a straw and an optional cocktail umbrella. Enjoy chilled.
