Chili Cheese Dog

2 hot dogs, pickle, pie, and soda (no substitutes, not available for catering)

In a medium skillet, cook the hot dogs over medium heat until they are heated through and slightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. You can also grill them for added flavor.

Prepare the Hot Dogs

In a small saucepan, heat the chili over medium heat until it is warmed through, stirring occasionally.

Warm the Chili

Place each cooked hot dog into a soft bun. Spoon a generous amount of heated chili over each hot dog.

Assemble the Chili Cheese Dogs

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chili. Add diced onions and jalapeños if desired. Drizzle mustard and ketchup over the top.

Add Toppings

Serve the chili cheese dogs immediately while they are hot, with extra chili and toppings on the side if desired.

Grill or boil the hot dogs until heated through. If grilling, cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until nicely charred.

Cut the pickles into thin slices. Set aside for serving.

Slice the Pickles

Take a slice of your preferred pie and place it on a plate.

Serve the Pie

Chill the soda before serving. Open a can and pour into a glass or serve directly from the can.

Open the Soda

On a plate, place the two hot dogs, add the pickle slices on the side, and serve with a slice of pie and a can of soda.
