Sausage Links
Method
Sausage Links
Prep the sausages
If sausages are refrigerated, let them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Pat dry with paper towels. If desired, cut each link into serving-sized pieces (halves or 1" slices).
Heat pan
Place a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium heat. Add the vegetable oil and allow it to warm for about 30 seconds until shimmering.
Add butter and seasonings
Push the sausages to one side of the pan or make a small well in the center. Add the butter; once melted, sprinkle the garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and kosher salt over the sausages. Stir gently so the butter and spices coat the links, about 30–45 seconds.
Rest and garnish
Remove the sausages to a serving platter and let rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top, if using. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for a bright finish.
Serving suggestion
Serve smoked sausage links hot as an entree with sides (potato salad, grilled vegetables, or rice) or as part of a sandwich or appetizer board.
