Method
Cocktail
Wet shake
Add ice to the shaker (enough to fill about two-thirds). Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold to the touch and the mixture is well chilled (and foamy if egg white was used).
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and ensure a silky texture.
Garnish & Serve
Express a lemon twist over the surface of the cocktail to release oils, then rub the twist around the rim and drop it into the drink.
Optionally, float an edible flower or rest a small sprig of thyme on the foam for visual appeal and a subtle aromatic note.
Serve immediately. For best balance, encourage the drinker to take small sips to enjoy the floral elderflower, bright lemon, and honeyed finish.
