1

Chill and prepare glass

Select a large wine glass (or stemmed glass). Fill the glass generously with ice to thoroughly chill the bowl; swirl briefly to cool the glass, then leave the ice in place.

2

Build the spritz

Pour 3 parts Aperol over the ice. Add 2 parts chilled Prosecco, pouring gently down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles. Top with 1 part chilled soda water. (If using a jigger, a common conversion is 3 oz Aperol, 2 oz Prosecco, 1 oz soda for one serving.)

3

Stir gently

Use a bar spoon to gently stir once or twice to combine — avoid vigorous stirring to keep the drink effervescent.

4

Garnish and serve

Garnish with one fresh orange slice placed on the rim or floated in the glass. Serve immediately while cold and effervescent.
