Method
Soju Cocktail Base
Chill and measure
Chill your bottle of soju in the refrigerator before preparing. Measure 8 oz chilled soju and 4 oz cold water or sparkling water into a mixing glass or pitcher.
If you prefer a slightly sweeter or more balanced drink, add 0.5 oz simple syrup and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice. For a lighter, traditional serving, omit syrup and lime.
Stir gently for about 10–15 seconds to combine. If using sparkling water, add it last and stir gently to preserve carbonation.
Garnish & Ice
Fill a serving glass (or two small glasses) with ice cubes (about 1 cup total for one large serving or divided for two).
Pour the mixed soju over the ice.
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge and a couple of mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately while cold.
Alternative Flavor Add-ins (optional)
To make a flavored soju variation, choose one 0.5 oz add-in (yuzu, peach, or plum) and stir it into the soju and water mixture in step 1. Adjust sweetness with additional simple syrup if needed.
Taste and adjust: add up to another 0.5 oz simple syrup if you want it sweeter, or a splash more lime juice if you want more acidity.
