Method

Prepare Glass

Chill the copper mug or glass if possible by placing it in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or filling it with ice water while you gather ingredients.

Discard the ice water (if used) and add about 3 oz of fresh cubed ice to the chilled mug.

Build the Drink

Measure & Pour

Using a jigger, pour 1 oz vodka into the mug over the ice.

Add Lime

Measure and add 0.5 oz fresh lime juice to the mug. If you don't have a jigger for 0.5 oz, squeeze about half a lime (adjust to taste).

Top with Ginger Beer

Pour 3 oz chilled ginger beer gently into the mug. Stir gently with a bar spoon 3–4 times to combine without flattening the carbonation.

Finish & Garnish

Garnish with half a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. If using, slap the mint lightly between your palms to release aromatics and tuck the sprig beside the lime (optional).

Serve immediately while cold and fizzy. Provide a straw if desired.
